Sound Waves Festival Unveils First Wave of Artists for 20th Anniversary Edition

One of Europe’s most revered techno and hard techno festivals, Sound Waves, is gearing up for a monumental milestone. The festival has now revealed the first phase of its 2025 lineup, featuring some of the biggest names in the underground electronic scene. OGUZ, the Dutch hard techno sensation, known for his high-energy sets and boundary-pushing productions, will set the stage ablaze with his signature sound. BLK., hailing from Ireland, this underground powerhouse has been redefining the electronic scene with his raw, no-holds-barred approach to techno.

SNTS, a master of industrial and dark techno, returns to Esmoriz to deliver his ominous, driving soundscapes that leave ravers in a hypnotic state. JAZZY, a force of nature behind the decks, brings a fierce, aggressive energy that is sure to ignite the dancefloor. ONLYNUMBERS, one of France’s rising stars in techno, blends euphoria, percussion, and hard-hitting beats for an intense sonic journey.

Sound Waves 2025 will kick off at 5 PM on Saturday, July 5th, and run non-stop until 2 PM the following day. Festival-goers can expect a meticulously curated experience filled with relentless beats, cutting-edge production, and a community of like-minded techno lovers from across the globe.

Before the summer spectacle, Sound Waves will be making waves with two other key events. Sound Waves Winter Edition on February 8th, Lisbon will host the second edition of this special event, featuring 999999999, Bad Boombox, Fantasm, Hades, Lee Ann Roberts, and Ornella. Sound Waves Invites on March 8th, Porto’s iconic Hard Club will welcome a stellar lineup including Winson, Fernanda Martins, Tanja Miju, Negitiv, Ornella, and Pestdokter.
