Sound Waves Festival, one of Portugal’s premier electronic music events, is gearing up for an epic 20th anniversary edition. Taking place in Esmoriz on July 5th, this year’s festival promises to be an unforgettable celebration of underground music, spanning over 20 hours of continuous beats. The first wave of artists included some heavyweights, such as OGUZ, BLK., SNTS, Jazzy, and ONLYNUMBERS, setting the tone for what’s to come. As the festival enters its second phase, the announcement of techno icons like Fatima Hajji, Rebekah, and rising stars like Basswell, Fantasm, Novah, and Cloudy, raised the excitement even higher.
Now, the final phase is here, and it’s nothing short of spectacular. Closing out the Mainstage line-up are Lorenzo Raganzini, Luciid, Ornella, Joanna Coelho, Miss Sheila, and Aerea. With such a diverse and talented group of artists, the Mainstage is sure to deliver non-stop energy throughout the night.
For this special edition, Sound Waves is also introducing a brand-new stage—the Vicious Stage. Dedicated to showcasing emerging talent from the Portuguese and Spanish underground scene, the Vicious Stage will feature fresh, experimental sounds that will keep the festival buzzing with excitement.
The festival kicks off at 5pm on Saturday, July 5th, and runs until 2pm the next day, offering 30 performances across two stages: the Mainstage and the Vicious Stage. Expect the finest Techno, Hard Techno, and Schranz music as this massive celebration of Sound Waves’ legacy unfolds.
