Cleveland based producer Sound On Tape has today released the title track from his new ‘Hush Harbors’ EP through his own imprint 904L World Class Sound.
The release of the single is accompanied by a visually striking, DIY style music video that follows Sound On Tape on a late-night cruising excursion as well as documenting some of his DJing across the city. The video gives a glimpse into the burgeoning Cleveland electronic music scene.
'Hush Harbors' captivates with its enchanting melodies, weaving seamlessly through the rich tapestry of UK Garage influences and serves as an ideal earworm for easy listening during the tranquil moments of the day.
The full ‘Hush Harbors’ EP is out 9th February and includes a more upfront, rough and ready club remix from UK producer Wilfy D as well as Sound On Tape’s majestic rework of a seminal UKG anthem ‘Gabriel’ by Roy Davis Jr and Peven Everett which was released as a free download last year.
‘Hush Harbors’ EP cements its unique blend of electronic music rooted in Garage, 2-Step, Jazz and beyond drawing influence from legends El-B, Burial, Mr. Fingers, and Sticky as well as deep seated Black gospel icons CL Franklin, Pastor T.L. Barrett and the Youth for Christ Choir, and Mahalia Jackson.
First single ‘Hush Harbors’ is out 25th of January. The full EP is out 9th of February.
