Somewhere in the shadows, between rhythm and void, Low Mileage emerges on Italy's Concrete Records LTD like a whisper from the depths of an unknown place. Samuli Kemppi crafts an enigmatic journey, each track a cipher waiting to be decoded, each pulse an echo of something deeper discover.

"Trying to Bite," a deliberate, methodical unwinding, opens it. You are pulled closer by the bassline, which bubbles beneath the surface like a shadowy entity. The next piece is "Conversation Without Resolution," which is a ghostly message from a far-off machine with questions left hanging in the air while its modular distortions twist in unresolved tension.

"All Warnings On," a signal flare in the darkness, follows. Rubberised bass and skittering percussion create a system that is about to implode, like swelling pressure in a small area. With its unpredictable beeps and static-filled screeches creating a labyrinth of analogue textures, "Looking for a Way Out" pulses with captivating delight.

And then the silence—almost. “A Chamber Full of Nothing” is a vast, secretive expanse, a room without walls, where echoes seamlessly dissolve into the void. You stand at the threshold, unsure if you should step forward to a new dimension.

Finally, “River of Names” washes over like a forgotten incantation. Mechanical murmurs, ghostly chants, and a steady, throbbing rhythm merge into something ancient yet unfamiliar—a message buried beneath layers of time.

Samuli Kemppi has conjured something elusive here. Low Mileage doesn’t demand understanding. It lingers, haunts, and disappears like a secret only half-remembered.
