Karla Amaro's musical vision and unique style are difficult to classify. With a great capacity to adapt to diverse scenarios and audiences, Karla has been able to elaborate an identity like no other. With her warm-blooded Caribbean origins and unequalled taste for underground sound, Karla's musical tendency oscillates between House and Minimal, sometimes with surprising appearances of deep and marked techno sounds and her unmistakable Latin rhythms.
With five years of musical journey, the club culture has motivated Karla to undertake a path of music studies, which she defines as "an endless road". Likewise, she defines this year as the year in which her music will see the light of day as she prepares to release a series of varied and significant EPs to define her course within the world scene further.
With her first major release, Karla has crafted two undoubtedly underground tracks for her debut on Insignificant Location. A fusion of styles is evident with "Not A Speech", showing a deep house influence infused with minimal and tech house grooves, "Forces We Don't Understand" follows the same principle but with a more acid house and micro house flavour. Two exceptional tracks have already been road-tested by Karla in her many club residencies in Santiago, Chile, with great response. A Venezuelan by birth but now living in Chile, Karla has already built up a sizeable following in her short career thus far. A talented DJ and artist certainly worth looking out for.
