P.O.U are about to hit a milestone. On 25th April, the UK and Ibiza-based duo release their debut album ‘Breathe’ on their own label, Of Us Records. It’s a big moment. Not just because it’s their first album, but because it’s the most complete reflection of who they are as artists. Melodic, emotional, uplifting, club-ready. “This is us,” they said, “breathing new life into what we love most.” Download/Stream 'Breathe' here: https://hypeddit.com/productofus/breathe.
‘Breathe’ is a bold record. It stretches beyond their usual melodic house and progressive techno palette. Across twelve tracks, they weave between deep 4/4 grooves, breakbeat euphoria and cinematic soundscapes, all tied together by their signature warmth and attention to detail. The title track sets the tone. That one came from a hazy post-gig moment, somewhere between exhaustion and inspiration. “It was early on a winter’s morning, driving back from a set, running on fumes and classic 90s prog — that pure, uplifting Sasha-era magic,” they said. “Still wrecked the next day, we hit the studio and stumbled across a vocal sample that just clicked. From there, everything locked in.”
There’s an emotional thread running through the album. ‘Dreamcast’, ‘Lifetime’ and ‘Become One’ all dig deep, building slow-burning energy around rich chords, punchy drums and hooky toplines. Their attention to atmosphere is clear, but there’s also a heavy focus on vocal-led storytelling. They’ve brought in a strong crew of collaborators for the ride, including Jamie Wiltshire, Emilie Rachel, Rory Hope, Zahra Palmer, SPARTAA and Oddfellowz. These weren’t just remote link-ups. “Jamie, Emilie, Rory, Zahra — we connected through our management or met during gigs. From the moment we heard their voices, we knew they were the perfect fit,” the duo explained. “Each one of them brought a distinct tone and energy. It elevated the whole thing.”
The timing of this album makes sense. P.O.U are riding a strong wave right now. Their February release ‘Million Miles Away’ with Miss Monique became a major moment, taking the cover of Spotify’s Mint playlist and landing in seven more. Before that, ‘Rule The World’ with Laura van Dam hit number three on 1001Tracklists. Their earlier underground cut ‘Just A Little More Love’ got rinsed by Tale Of Us at Afterlife. Three of their tracks have reached number one on Beatport.

What stands out about P.O.U is their ability to move between different corners of the scene without losing their identity. Releases on Anjunabeats, Siona, Purified, Flashover, Vandit and Area Verde have all felt natural. “Having tracks on those labels suits the song direction,” they said. “None of it feels like a departure from our sound. We follow what feels right, not what’s trending.”
The duo began as Product Of Us, a name that raised a few eyebrows due to the similarity to Tale Of Us. “We were big fans, but the name wasn’t inspired by them. It was random,” they admitted. “Still, after some back and forth with management, we decided to shorten it to P.O.U to avoid confusion. And then, of course, Tale Of Us split up — so it probably wouldn’t have mattered in the end.”
Outside the studio, they’ve been growing their presence in the booth too. They’ve already played Ministry of Sound, Destino Pacha and Eden in Ibiza. This year, they’ve got a packed calendar. St Moritz, Dublin, Malta, Florence, Dubai, Brazil and India are all on the cards, along with regular returns to Ministry of Sound and Eden. They’re also pushing their own label nights under Of Us Records and Drama Club, which double as a platform for new artists and a home for their wider creative vision.
‘Breathe’ captures this moment in full. It’s an album rooted in emotion and club culture. One that hits just as hard in your headphones as it does on a Funktion-One. For P.O.U, it’s not just a release. It’s a reset. A full-body expression of everything they’ve been building towards.
Take a deep breath. They’re only just getting started.
