Renowned for his distinct deep house sound, German producer Oliver Schories teams up with British Icelandic singer-songwriter Fredrik Ferrier for a spellbinding cut, Heaven – out now on Purified Records.
Exuding a slow-burning energy from the very first beat, Heaven calls upon glistening synths and laidback percussion to set the tone. With nods to the foundations of the genre, the producers wrap Fredrik’s hypnotic vocals around captivating instrumentals, resulting in a deep and masterful offering. Radiating a magnetic presence, Heaven is expertly crafted to keep audiences moving on the dancefloor. Breaking onto the scene as a young Hamburg native, over ten years later Oliver Schories’s influence is impossible to ignore. Emerging as one to watch in 2012 with the release of his first album ‘Herzensangelegenheit’ on Parquet Recordings, he rapidly became one of Germany’s most in-demand acts. Launching his own labels, Oliver champions up-and-coming talent in his ‘der turnbeutel’ imprint, and charters releases by industry icons on ‘Pracht’. Despite the challenges imposed by the pandemic, Oliver Schories hunkered down to focus on new music, and in 2020 and 2021, he experienced some of his most prolific release years to-date. His collaboration with Jan Blomqvist ‘Packard’ amassed over a million streams in the first month of its release and received stunning remixes by the likes of Nora En Pure and Monkey Safari.
