The Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) has announced that Birmingham will host the Night Time Economy Summit 2025. Set to take place at Hockley Social Club from February 5th to 6th, this landmark event will spotlight the city’s thriving nightlife and cultural scene.
In collaboration with a broad range of partners—including the West Midlands Combined Authority, shesaid.so, Earth Percent, Defected, and Skiddle—this year’s summit promises to be a vital gathering for key players in the nightlife and entertainment industries, fostering international partnerships and addressing major challenges in the sector.
The summit’s program will tackle themes ranging from queer spaces and sustainability to security and live music. Highlights include the introduction of a complete Queer stage developed with Gay Times and Stonewall, alongside sustainability talks led by Earth Percent. The summit will also mark the launch of the groundbreaking “Listen for Life” hearing conservation campaign supported by the World Health Organization, aimed at improving auditory health in entertainment venues.
Birmingham’s cultural tapestry will be celebrated throughout the event, with insights from West Midlands influencers and artists. Discussions on diversity and the importance of supporting homegrown talent will take centre stage, as well as panels on the economic impact of electronic music, led by Defected and Hospital Records.
With representatives from across Europe, North America, and beyond, the Night Time Economy Summit will unite more than 30 trade associations to address the industry’s future. This year’s summit promises to be an essential event, combining knowledge sharing, networking, and solutions to sustain the vibrancy of nightlife worldwide.
