Naajet, a key figure in the Parisian scene for nearly a decade, takes a step forward with the launch of her own label SWEAT Records and the release of her new EP “High On Heat”.
Between her explosive sets in the best clubs of Paris and across France, her Bande de Filles collective, and her role as a DJ in the Madoki Company with the Waacking piece D.I.S.C.O., Naajet is constantly immersed in club culture. With a recent residency at Sacré, she created “SWEAT”, a series of events celebrating club culture and the art of letting go, blending this way her two passions: music and dance. After notable releases on Shall Not Fade, Monki & Friends, and Nowadays Records, launching SWEAT Records was the logical next step to channel all the energy of her sets into her own productions. "High On Heat" lays the foundation for the label's identity: a raw energy and rhythms designed to make you dance until you sweat.
The EP opens with “Melt Away”, a summer and freedom anthem, drenched with Power House vibes. It brings back the irresistible urge to sunbathe and dance without restraint. Next comes “Do You Think About Me”, a very effective track blending House and Techno influences, with a groove that grabs you from the very first seconds and doesn’t let go, delivering a rush of adrenaline. “Bonkers Mobsters” flirts with a deeper and UK-inspired sound, capturing the clammy and frenetic energy of endless nights, where sweat drips and basslines pulsate in an electrified atmosphere. Finally, “Just An Illusion” offers a softer, introspective touch, with some Break and melodic accents, perfect for winding down while keeping the energy alive.
