Baikal Nomads is an influential organic house record label, and its new release is a single by Lilova, which also includes solo remixes from Tebra and Borowsky.
Lilova are a vocalist and producer duo whose style combines majestic synth lines and emotive vocals into melodic grooves that have organic percussion and live instruments. This is the third time they have featured on Baikal Nomads, and their music can also be found on other respected imprints such as Lump Records, Shango Records, and Cafe De Anatolia.
On remix duty, Borowsky is the solo alias for the production half of Lilova. He is an accomplished producer and DJ who has featured on record labels such as Cosmic Awakenings and Trndmsk.
Tebra provides a remix in the vibrant style he is known for, as his music fuses upbeat Afro rhythms with invigorating melodies that are infused with live instruments. He is well known for his music on record labels including Pipe & Pochet, Go Deeva, Bar 25, Harabe, and MONADA.
"Gori" is the solo original track on this release, and it layers powerful vocals with accordions, violins, and the epic sound of swelling synth pads. Its heavy percussion adds dramatic intensity to the melodic flow of the groove.
Borowsky's remix of "Gori" is a downtempo rework with a chugging indie dance bassline and some pitched percussion that gives it a different groove. He also removes the accordions and makes less use of the violin to create a spacious version where the vocal takes centre stage.
Tebra's remix of "Gori" makes good use of the original's vocal, which he accompanies with some flamenco style guitar flurries. He also works in his own throbbing synth bass and some congas that deliver bursts of energy.
