Hot Picks: Spanish Toolroom Signee Crusy Delivers The Grooves

Crusy

Spanish DJ and producer Crusy is on fire! His meteoric rise started in 2022 with the release of Selecta on Toolroom Trax, which exploded across dance floors worldwide. With support from heavyweights like Carl Cox, Nic Fanciulli, and John Summit, Crusy quickly cemented his name as a rising star in electronic music.

Since then, Crusy has only picked up speed, signing with Toolroom management and dropping tracks on Defected, Claptone's Golden Recordings, and Danny Howard's Nothing Else Matters. He's also racked up collaborations with major names like HUGEL, Dombresky, and Low Steppa, pulling in over 20 million streams along the way.

His latest record on Toolroom is another step up, blending underground and accessible elements in a peak-time, acid-infused Tech House roller. With shades of Techno and a nod to The Chemical Brothers' iconic Hey Boy, Hey Girl vocal sample, this track is a DJ's dream, made for the dance floor. To mark the release of his latest record, we're delighted to welcome Crusy with his very own Hot Picks selection:

Mark Knight & Funkagenda - Man With The Red Face

This is my favourite song ever. A lot of my music has been inspired by it. The rhythm and the melody are just timeless.

Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You

The best House song ever created, in my opinion. It's perfect - happy, classy, cool. It brings up the energy at a party, no matter when you play it. A forever classic.

Crusy & Prophecy - Pills

This is my favourite personal production to date. I made it as a collaboration with Prophecy, who are really good friends of mine. The vibe here is just unbelievable. It's sexy but dark at the same time. It defines me a lot as a producer.

Crusy - Hey Girls B Boys

This is the most versatile record I have made. This song just works everywhere, and I'm so proud to have released it with these timeless vocals. I feel truly blessed to have this in my discography. Huge shoutout to the Toolroom team, too!

Hot Since 82 - Veins

I've been a fan of Hot Since 82 for a lot of years, and this song is one of the reasons. Dark, energetic, and versatile for different venues. One of my favorite tunes to play at 4 am.

Wheats - Poison

One of my favourite Toolroom tracks. Ideal for bringing up the energy of the club before closing. A song that sits perfectly between Tech House and Techno.

&ME, Black Coffee - Rapture Part III

This is a future classic. I like to play a wide range of music in my sets, and at some point, I bring the vibe down a bit with a deeper track before building it back up. This is one of those records I play to introduce a melodic vibe. Absolute tune!

Marco Lys - The Story Continues

One of the best modern House tracks. This is as good as House music gets in modern times. Works everywhere!

Green Velvet - Flash (Latmun Remix)

This is Tech House at its peak for me - groovy and uplifting, with great build-ups and a killer drop. One of the best Tech House tunes to play, with the iconic Green Velvet vocals.

Crusy - Selecta

The song that changed my career forever. It's still one of my favourite tunes today. I made it almost by accident in about three hours, and it became my debut release on Toolroom.

As Crusy's schedule heats up with shows in the USA, Ibiza, Mexico, Canada, and beyond, this release is set to be one of his biggest yet.
