We're delighted to welcome Daniel as our latest Hot Picks guest. Check out his playlist below:

9th House – Zodiac [Hottrax]

I still get goosebumps thinking about the first time I heard this track. I was at a warehouse party in Melbourne's western suburbs in 2019, and Jamie Jones dropped it when it was still unreleased as his first or second track.

The Martinez Brothers – H 2 Da Izzo (Original Mix)

One of my all-time favourites to play in my sets. The swagger this tune has is unmatched, killer groove.

Jamie Jones – Planets, Spaceships

This is one of the first Tech House tracks I heard that really caught my attention. At the time this came out, I was still in high school and my music taste was a little more commercial.

Tiga – Shoes [PIAS/Different]

This track is the perfect combination of quirkiness and catchiness. Something I always try to recreate with my own music.

Dusky – Yoohoo [17 Steps]

Dusky were the first DJs I saw play an extended set, they played for about 5-6 hours in one of Melbourne’s less-polished venues, I’m not going to name names but the set was unreal.

Mall Grab – B.F.O.D.A.A.S. [Hot Haus]

I find it kind of funny how people like to pretend Lo-Fi house was never a trend, I used to be so into the lo-fi house scene back in 2016-2018, to be perfectly frank I still do really like the music.

Daniel Cuda – WHYD [Circa Trax]

Who doesn’t love a little shameless selection haha This is the first track I made where my expectations for how I wanted the track to sound like aligned with the end-product. I still reference this tune all the time.

Eden Burns, Christopher Tubbs – Siren Song [Public Posession]

This one is an absolute banger, perfect jazzy, tribal house roller and the ide seems so simple. Goes bang every time.
