FLETCH’s debut album ‘So Fly’ marks a significant milestone in his career, following an exceptional 2024 that saw a Beatport number one and 1 million Spotify streams. Now, with the release of his first long-form project, FLETCH is proving himself as a force in the UK underground House scene. Dropping on George Smeddles’ South Records, the ‘So Fly’ LP is the label’s first-ever album release, setting the stage for something special. Buy/Stream it here: https://ffm.to/sth014.

The album is a seamless fusion of clear sounds, thoughtful production, and an unmistakable groove, blending funk, soul, disco, and house. FLETCH explains that his eclectic approach to music is deeply rooted in his upbringing. "I grew up on EVERYTHING," he says. "Any kind of music you can think of I was listening to... much of that is my Dad's influence, but I’ve always just been curious to hear new sounds even as a kid." This curiosity shines through in the album, where every track tells a unique story while maintaining a clear sense of style that’s perfect for the dancefloor.

The LP’s sound moves between sensual late-night vibes and peak-time bangers. "Move" is rich with atmospheric melodies, while the title track "So Fly" delivers infectious energy that’s tailor-made for the floor. As FLETCH describes, "It feels like a huge relief... if it wasn’t for George believing in the tracks, they may never have seen the light of day!"

For FLETCH, working with Mihai Popoviciu on the remix of "Elevate" was a dream come true. Popoviciu, a personal favourite of FLETCH’s, adds his signature touch, bringing an extra layer of mastery to the track. "When George floated the name past me, there was no other option as far as I was concerned," FLETCH says with a smile.

Since the album dropped, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Tracks like "Night Time Falling" have already made waves, even securing airplay on BBC Radio 1. "It’s been incredible," FLETCH reflects. "I’ve had people from all over the world reach out to me... I’m just grateful at least one person out there enjoys what I do!"

In the years leading up to this release, FLETCH has performed worldwide, from Colombia and Ecuador to Bahrain and across Europe. The experiences of travelling to these diverse places have undoubtedly influenced his sound. "Travelling makes you realise what makes each city and area of the world tick... I tried to include a part of my experience in each part of the world in this LP," he explains.

Support from major figures like Jamie Jones and The Martinez Brothers has also been a huge boost. "My peers around me encourage me the most to push the boat out and try different things," he says. "Without the circle I have around me, I don’t think I would be brave enough to try things no one else is doing."

In addition to his impressive global performances and industry backing, FLETCH’s music is built on a foundation of analogue warmth with modern production finesse. "I am a HUGE nerd," he laughs. "I have built up a pretty big studio over the last 10 years, but I mostly work inside my computer now... the main thing I could never go without, though, are my guitars. They’re a huge source of creative inspiration for me."

It’s no wonder FLETCH has earned the attention of BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story and Danny Howard, who’ve dubbed him “one to watch.” "It was just as surreal then as it is hearing it back now," he admits, recalling the moment. "I remember being in the car by myself wondering if anyone else heard what they just said!"

With 2024 behind him, FLETCH is already gearing up for more music. "Next up is a remix and a collab single with some special people," he teases.

‘So Fly’ is a statement of artistry and musical maturity—a collection of tracks that will stay in your rotation for years to come. FLETCH's unique blend of influences, combined with his forward-thinking approach to house music, ensures that he is a talent you’ll want to keep an eye on in the years ahead.
