One of the leading figures of the new French electronic scene delivers an EP that perfectly blends club energy and sensuality. From her feature on the cover of Tsugi to her residency at Badaboum and prestigious sets alongside artists like Overmono, Bicep and Laurent Garnier, Dylan Dylan has established herself as one of the most captivating French artists to watch. With What More Do You Want?!, her first EP on Pont Neuf Records, available on vinyl and digital from March 7th, 2025, she invites listeners into a musical universe rich in 90s influences and contemporary sensitivity.
“This EP is a deeply personal journey through my musical memories of the 90s. I wanted to draw on the rich diversity of this decade, which is so dear to me, and transpose it to the present day, with a variety of sounds. From rave, UKG, house, R&B, and pop, I sought to channel the influences of that era through the emotions and stories of today, giving each track its own feeling and narrative” Dylan Dylan.
With a suave bassline and filtered pads, the opening track ‘Do You Need Me?’ sets a velvety and intimate tone from the very first seconds. Strongly inspired by 90s house, this track plays with sensuality in a dancefloor setting. "It’s a musical game of seduction: a gentle, languid dance, like when you’re in a club that slowly starts waking up as the atmosphere keep getting hotter" explains Dylan Dylan. "It’s also the very first track I composed for this EP, where I constantly had Madonna’s Vogue in mind." ‘Natural High’ follows as a breakbeat-driven track where 90s pop/soul influences meet an acid bassline. This song builds in intensity with whispered vocals and ethereal rhythms that reinforce its sensual energy. "It’s like the soundtrack to a love scene, progressing to a more direct kind of sensuality" Dylan Dylan explains. Taking a more introspective turn, ‘Listen To Yourselves’ slows the pace for a contemplative pause. With dreamy pads and organic beats, this track radiates a soothing, comforting energy. "It’s a message of encouragement and serenity, a kind of musical embrace for those experiencing self-doubt" she shares.Inspired by the rave and UK garage scene, ‘Good Times’ combines a melancholic melody with punchy breakbeat rhythms, capturing the euphoria and carefree nature of falling in love. "It’s a tribute to those timeless moments shared with someone, when everything feels perfect" says Dylan Dylan. Closing the EP on an experimental note, ‘On A Sunday’ blends soft R&B vocals with UKG and jungle elements. The harmonic synths create a dreamy and serene atmosphere. "I love mixing these genres to produce a kind of bright ‘soft techno,’ perfect for a Sunday spent with friends after a night at the club" she concludes.
