Serokariy the Pigeon and Skypark is the new album from Betelgeize who shows his class with this fantastic selection of organic and Afro house tracks.

The release provides a soundtrack to a fairy tale that Betelgeize wrote, which is a concept he also applied to his previous album in 2023 that was titled El Halcón Lucido Y El Dragón Negro.

That previous album was primarily a solo effort, with the exception of a few tracks that featured the vocals of IKVA, who this time sings on all of the tracks. Each track on Serokariy the Pigeon and Skypark is a collaboration with another producer, and those contributions come from AIWAA, Daniel Hokum, DIBIDABO, Kapchiz, Volen Sentir, Kermesse and Valique.

All of the collaborating artists have a proven pedigree within the organic house scene, as many of them have worked with respected record labels such as Sol Selectas, Cafe De Anatolia, Bar 25, All Day I Dream and Anjunadeep.

This album comes via It’s Good To Be A Tree, which is Betelgeize’s own record label, and many of the collaborating artists have previously featured on his imprint prior to their album collaboration.

Giving more background on the album, Betelgeize said: “This album is a soundtrack for a fairy tale I wrote about a pigeon who lives in a beautiful park in harmony with himself and others. One day, the pigeon has a dream, which gives him a premonition that he can find wealth if he goes on a dangerous adventure. So, out of joy, through doubts and mysticism, we get into a dynamic and vivid journey of a pigeon, in which he meets other animals that vary between kind and dangerous characters. The music accompanies the story at every stage, and each chapter has its own track to express its mood and feeling. The first track symbolises a peaceful life in its mood, then the second track is representing doubts and mysticism. Tracks 3 and 4 are dynamic, because the adventure actually starts. First, a bold but unsuccessful attempt to fly over the mountains, then in a group of other animals he uses a bridge to cross a steep gorge. 5 is about falling in love, and 6 is about the main character being captured, then the last one resolving the adventure with a happy ending after he escapes captivity.”

The album does a good job of helping bring the fairy tale to life, but there are also club orientated tracks such as “Serekana” and “Mangadi Yala.” This has helped Serokariy the Pigeon and Skypark earn DJ support from the likes of Acid Pauli, Jacob Groening, Djuma Soundsystem and Robbie Akbal.
