Berlin’s Yulo X Introduces New Vocal-led Electronic Single ‘AMOR’

Yulo X

AMOR, the compelling second single from Berlin-based Yulo X’s forthcoming album ‘Euphoria Ends,’ stands as a notable entry in the indie electronic pop genre. Although it initially presents itself as a contemporary love song, the track delves into the complex themes of addiction and dependency, inviting a deeper level of engagement from its audience. The production of AMOR is a testament to Yulo X’s intricate craftsmanship. A fragmented yet insistent beat anchors the track, while sweet harmonies and understated vocals create a melancholic ambience. This nuanced approach will resonate with listeners who appreciate the sophisticated soundscapes of artists like Parra For Cuva, Caribou, and Jamie XX.

Released under the esteemed Vienna-based label Superego Records, AMOR is further enhanced by a visually arresting music video directed by Oswaldo Montúfar Vásquez. The video’s picturesque imagery adds a poignant visual dimension to the song’s introspective narrative.

Yulo X, the latest project by Berlin-based producer Felix Neumann, offers a mesmerising blend of electronica infused with melodic and ambient elements, occasionally venturing into house, techno, garage, and dubstep. Yulo X’s soundscape marries the lush melodies of Max Cooper with Caribou’s vibrant energy and Floating Points’ enigmatic grooves yet distils these influences into a raw, minimalist form that reveals stark, unadulterated emotion. Drawing inspiration from the dynamic music scenes of Berlin and London, Neumann’s forthcoming debut album showcases a unique style featuring catchy piano passages and orchestral elements, marking a significant evolution in his songwriting and production. Neumann’s distinctive vocals on some tracks will resonate with fans of his earlier project, “A Hundred Times Beloved,” known for its new wave and dream pop influences. These influences and his success in the house music scene with “Fex Fellini” are adeptly reimagined in Yulo X’s modern yet nostalgically nuanced electronic sound.

As Yulo X continues redefining indie electronic pop’s contours, AMOR exemplifies their artistic depth and innovative vision, heightening anticipation for the album’s release.
