ADE Lab has just announced its first wave of speakers for the four-day programme this October, aimed at helping aspiring music talents kickstart their careers. From 16 to 19 October, the entry-level conference will feature key industry figures such as Narciss, Indira Paganotto & Joseph Capriati, DJ MELL G, MARRØN, Freddy K, and more.
DJ MELL G, a prominent international artist, will host a session titled ‘Staying Grounded as a Touring DJ’, focusing on mental health challenges in the electronic music scene. Community will be a central theme throughout ADE Lab, with aspiring professionals allowed to connect with their mentors and learn from their journeys. Freddy K will delve into the resurgence of vinyl, sharing insights from his extensive experience in the industry. Amsterdam’s own MARRØN will lead the panel ‘Curating Culture’, where he’ll discuss how his background has influenced his work, following in the footsteps of last year’s panellist, Mama Snake.
Mama Snake will return this year for a masterclass with her agent, Charles Green, offering a behind-the-scenes look at her career and answering audience questions. Indira Paganotto and Joseph Capriati will also participate, sharing the creative process behind their collaborative EP ‘Mantra’ in an intimate discussion led by Dave Clarke. Meanwhile, Narciss and DJ Babatr will dive into their distinctive sounds, providing a deep dive into their evolving music styles.
In addition to the talks, ADE Lab is launching four new courses. Sarz will lead the Producer Course, guiding young producers through the path to success. Spekki Webu and Matti Vilho will take the reins of the Visual Arts Course, exploring how visuals and music intersect. LUXE will lead the Performing Artist Course, while Rocco Veenboer, founder of Awakenings, will team up with Tim Middelesch to offer advice on breaking into the music industry.
The full programme and further speaker confirmations can be found on the Amsterdam Dance Event website. More announcements will be made soon.
