Adam Beyer x Eli Brown Drop Long-Awaited "Overdose of Bass" EP on Drumcode

Eli Brown and Adam Beyer

Techno heavyweights Adam Beyer and Eli Brown have finally unleashed their first collaborative EP, ‘Overdose of Bass’, on Drumcode. Fans have been buzzing about this release since the pair’s growing camaraderie became evident during their epic B2B debut at Brunch Electronik in Lisbon earlier this year. The result? A two-track techno tour de force that fuses their distinct yet complementary styles into something explosive. Download/stream it here: https://drumcode.ffm.to/dc317.

Breaking Down the Tracks:

  • ‘Overdose of Bass’: With rattling snares, a breakbeat undercurrent, and a processed spoken vocal that teases “overdose of bass,” this track is as hypnotic as it is edgy. Doppler sirens add a spacey touch, creating an irresistible call-and-response energy bound to dominate dancefloors.

  • ‘Living in the Moment’: Urgent, uplifting, and unrelenting, this track layers a driving beat with a Moroder-esque bassline and ethereal female vocals. The melodic breakdown builds into an explosive climax, making it a guaranteed peak-time anthem.

The EP also marks Eli Brown’s return to Drumcode, following his standout January collaboration ‘When I Push’ with Layton Giordani and OFFAIAH.

Adam Beyer, the mastermind behind Drumcode, praised the collaboration: “Eli has brought a fresh energy to club techno. Working together in the studio and during B2Bs—especially our Lisbon set—was a natural fit. ‘Overdose of Bass’ captures the essence of both our styles, and I’m excited for the Drumcode family to hear it.”

Eli Brown, who’s had a massive year performing everywhere from global festivals to Rockefeller Center, shared his excitement: “Adam is someone I’ve looked up to for years. Our different backgrounds—him from techno and me from jungle and drum & bass—created something unique. This EP is the perfect blend of our influences.”

With this release, Beyer and Brown prove why they’re among the most exciting forces in techno today.
