Adam Beyer continues to expand the boundaries of techno with his latest EP, Don’t Go, released on October 11th. This two-track EP showcases his talent for merging experimental elements with the relentless drive of techno. The title track, Don’t Go, starts with spacey Hoover and Doppler FX, building momentum until an Afro-inspired vocal sample takes over, transforming into a captivating, riff-driven centrepiece. The call-and-response pattern of the mixed voices, processed with Beyer’s signature finesse, creates an enthralling and organic energy that pulses through the track.
The second offering, Tool of Thought, takes a more futuristic route, with a razor-sharp percussive base and hoover-like sirens that escalate the track’s tense and electrifying atmosphere. Beyer’s skilful use of vocoders brings a haunting, robotic vocal layer that complements the clacking beats and metallic bass, making this an irresistible invitation to the dance floor.
As Beyer continues his global tour, fans embrace his forward-thinking approach, further cementing his status as a techno innovator. Don’t Go is a powerful testament to his ability to evolve while keeping the soul of the genre intact.
