Following successful singles such as ‘So Long’ and ‘Mi Casa’, soulful production duo 2fox (aka Max Sinàl and Renell Shaw) continue to gather momentum at a rapid pace as they land on Soul Clap Records with their new ‘Elevation’ EP. Across the 3 tracks, the pair really showcase their prowess when it comes to fusing soulful sounds coupled with top class songwriting. Kicking off with ‘Elevation’, which grooves with the heartbeat of London’s soulful underground, is aimed squarely at the dancefloor and comes complete with a oh-so-smooth vocal performance from UK Soul-Jazz star, Laville.
Taking things a bit deeper, in every sense of the word, ‘Just Be’, is pure dance floor soul, featuring the sweet sounds of Nandi (The Voice), poet Sophia Thakur on spoken word duty, and an uplifting affirmation from Afronaut Zu (Rudimental). The EP closes out with some riveting story telling from Sophia Thakur on ‘Mare Street State Of Mind’, who waxes lyrical over an organic Broken Beat Jazz-fuelled sound track.
